Our Role

The £125 million secured from Europe for the Finance for Business programme is a major ‘win’ for North East England. It is driving investment, supporting a new generation of businesses and entrepreneurs and creating jobs, wealth and economic growth.

North East Finance was instrumental in the development of this resource. Acting as a strategic advisor with One North East, we helped to secure the funding required from partners in Europe to make Finance for Business a reality.

Using our expertise in developing and managing regional investment funds, we also led consultations with the local business community to structure the funds to meet the needs of local businesses moving forwards.

We are now actively promoting and banging the ‘drum’ for Finance for Business North East regionally and nationally and leading its delivery in the region.

As the holding fund manager, we work closely with lawyers, accountants, corporate financiers, business angels and other investors who are interested in bridging the equity gap to help develop high growth businesses.
